Parents and Citizens Association

The Parents and Citizens Association meets on the third Monday of every month at 7:30pm.

This provides a forum for discussion and an additional opportunity for members of the school community to communicate with executive and other teaching staff. There are light refreshments available. Decisions are made on how we allocate funds and priorities for fund raising. Issues can be raised and questions asked. Reports on activities  within the school are presented. There can be presentations on particular topics. An example of this is that senior students have attended meetings to present the skills and methods involved in the peer mediation program that runs at the school.

The P&C has a formal structure with a constitution and positions such as President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. For the general activities and events (such as discos and barbeques) people participate in the manner that suits them.

Other bodies such as the Parent Group, the Canteen Committee and the band committee are officially sub-committees of the P&C. At Jasper Road Public School all parent groups work together.
