On behalf of myself and the staff it is a pleasure to welcome you to the website for Jasper Road Public School. Our school is set in spacious and attractive grounds featuring gardens designed and maintained by students as part of the Arbors program.

The dedicated, highly skilled staff at Jasper Road are committed to ensuring every child becomes a successful learner. We have a strong focus on the development of literacy and numeracy skills and provide a wide range of extra–curricula activities to extend and enrich student learning. Within a happy, caring environment, students are encouraged to aspire to achieve their personal best at all times. Student learning outcomes are high in comparison to like school and state benchmarks. We relentlessly pursue excellence as we seek to equip each child for their life-long journey in learning.

We endeavour to ensure our students’ primary school experiences are happy, productive and rewarding. All students are treated with respect and individual needs are met in a caring, responsive approach. The development of positive attitudes, self-esteem, self-discipline and respect of others is fostered through recognition, achievement and appropriate reinforcement. A Student Representative Council meets regularly to give students a forum where they can propose and discuss ideas relating to the school and its operation. We are a compulsory uniform school. We believe this practice enhances the pride our students feel in being recognised as Jasper Road students and engenders strong camaraderie and unity of purpose.

In recognition of the diversity of achievement amongst our students, our school provides a wide range of educational experiences that enable us to meet specific learning needs. Gifted students in any area, intellectual or physical are given the opportunity to achieve their best through carefully structured programs and strategies. Students with particular learning difficulties receive support from staff trained in working with students with special needs.  For students to whom English is not their first language specific support programs are provided.

There are also four classes for students whose primary disability is physical. We pursue an inclusive, seamless education policy enabling all students to experience many mainstream school activities. Our facilities and availability of specialist staff ensures Jasper Road is a leader in the education of students with special needs.

Our school works in close partnership with our community and values and encourages involvement. Parent participation is welcomed at all times and your contribution to school life is highly valued. Being actively involved in your child’s education is essential as we believe students learn best when everyone shares in the responsibility for student success. For the benefit of working parents Before and After School Care is available on site.

Jasper Road is a school to be proud of where our motto ‘Strive to Achieve’ is a real part of our school life. Please follow the links on the website to find out more about the school.

If you would like to tour the school or speak to me personally please telephone the office on 96396801 or contact us by email at jasperroad-p.schools.nsw.edu.au to make an appointment.
