Jasper Road has
4 support classes (K-6) for children with a physical disability. The needs of
the children are catered for by classroom teachers and teacher aide specials.
Students in the support classes are also supported by a school based health team
comprising of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, a Speech Therapist, a
Clinical Nurse Specialist and Therapy Aides.

The support
classes at Jasper Road provide individualised educational programs for each
student. Our aim is to provide stimulating and challenging experiences in all
Key Learning Areas through adapted and modified programs that suit the
individual needs of our students. We also aim to provide students with
opportunities to increase their own independence and build on their living
skills.

Support class
students are included in whole school and grade activities such as in school and
out of school excursions, leading and performing at weekly K-2 assemblies,
dancing, and performances for special events such as Education and Book Week
activities. Support class students join the Therapy team for Gross Motor and
wheelchair sport. Each student participates in the Northcott Athletics carnival
as well as our annual Boccia competition against Crestwood High and the Baulkham
Hills Council. Jasper Road has wheelchair access to every part of the school,
enabling students with disabilities to join in every aspect of school life. Learning Areas. The individual needs of all children are catered for in a caring and safe
